About the Vineyard:
Gargalo is the family project that renowned Spanish fashion designer, Roberto Verino, founded in 1998 in the Monterrei appellation of Northwestern Spain with the goal of making wines that would speak about their terroir of origin. Verino along with Bodegas Riojanas utilizing their winemaking experience gathered since its foundation in 1890, share the same values of utmost respect for terroir as a core element that defines their wines.
Their commonality led Bodegas Riojanas, S.A. to partner with Verino in April 2019, by which they would commercialize in the wine world jointly.
For Verino, elegance is born from terroir allowing nature to do its share alone. GARGALO GODELLO is elegantly different, complex and aromatic, with hints of honey and nuts on the nose and a luxurious palate marked with citrus flavors.

This r avine was formed by the Támega River in the Monterrei Valley, named ‘the excellent Valley’ by the Roman legions which planted the first grapevines and built the first cellars in the area. The Godello vineyards located in this scarcely known region produces some of Spain’s most brilliant white wines.
