About the Vineyard:
The Domaine de Cazaban is situated in the foothills of the “Montagne Noire” (Black Mountains), at the crossroads of the two terroirs of Ventenac and Montolieu. The property consists of 20ha. The vines are planted on fine soils of schist, clay and limestone which affords the grapes an exceptional quality and diversity of style (merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, grenache, carignan, mourvèdre for red wines and rosés ; roussanne, marsanne, vermentino, grenache gris for white wines). The Domaine has been certified organic since 2010 and then converted to Biodynamic, gaining Demeter certification in 2013. At Domaine de Cazaban harvest is 100% hand picked.
Blend:
65% Carignan, 35% Grenache
Tasting Notes:
A deep ruby, crimson colour. Jours de Vigne is distinguishable by its complex, aromatic nose. Both fruity and floral, with notes of vine blossom, lilac, narcissus, red currants, plum, apricots and watermelon. A rich, full-bodied wine with an elegant balance of acidity and depth of flavor, resulting in a wine that can be drunk youthfully or be cellared for several years.
