About the Vineyard
In 1956, La Cave des Vignerons de Gigondas was created in the heart of the Gigondas region by a handful of winegrowers wishing to defend their identity and economic interests as winegrowers. They wanted to create a Gigondasian joint venture, of a size significant enough to professionally address the oenological and commercial issues related to the vinification, maturing and distribution of Gigondas wine. In this process, yesterday as today, there was, there is a fierce, militant desire to build our appellation from this land where we live, in the most active, authentic way possible, in order to develop with the other winegrowers a highly qualitative image of our wines from this exceptional terroir. Today, we are proud to offer you the wines around the Dentelles with the appellations: GIGONDAS, VACQUEYRAS, BEAUMES DE VENISE.
Blend
65% Grenache noir, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault.
Tasting Notes
This wine distinguishes itself by a very beautiful coloring intensity and a dress deep ruby. A soft nose of black fruit with a frank attack and the solid tannic structure agrees marvelously on a grilled prime rib.
